Yusuf/Cat Stevens Postpones North American Book Tour Indefinitely Due to Visa Woes

As of September 29th, 2025, legendary singer-songwriter Yusuf/Cat Stevens has been forced to postpone his upcoming North American book tour indefinitely due to ongoing visa issues. The tour, titled "Cat on the Road to Findout -- An Evening of Tales, Tunes, and Other Mysteries," was originally scheduled to kick off on October 2nd in Philadelphia and conclude on October 21st in Los Angeles.

The tour was set to feature in-depth conversations about Stevens' new memoir, "Cat on the Road to Findout," which chronicles his evolution from chart-topping pop star to spiritual seeker. The events were also slated to include acoustic performances of his iconic songs. However, Stevens announced that the production logistics necessary for the tour could not be arranged in time due to the prolonged visa approval process.

In a statement, Stevens expressed his disappointment, saying, "Sadly, my Cat on the Road to Findout Book Tour in the U.S. looks like it won't go ahead as scheduled in October. Waiting months for visa approvals, we held out as long as we could. However, at this point, the production logistics necessary for my show cannot be arranged in time." He added that the tour may be rescheduled for a later date, but noted that the new dates would be "some time away" due to other travel plans.

Despite the postponement, Stevens assured fans that the book release will not be affected, stating, "the obvious benefit of it being -- books don't need visas!" The memoir is still set to be published on October 7th, 2025.
