YUNGBLUD explained that his grandmother would often lie to him, even going so far as to put him in a foot bath and claim that the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer was his grandfather. This went on until YUNGBLUD was around 9 years old, when the truth finally came to light during a grocery store outing.
While there is no actual blood relation between YUNGBLUD and Stewart, the "Parents" musician has since reached out to the young rocker in a heartwarming gesture. According to YUNGBLUD, Stewart sent him a sweet direct message, addressing him as his "wee grandson" and embracing the mistaken identity from his childhood.
This amusing anecdote comes just a month after YUNGBLUD's collaboration with Aerosmith, "My Only Angel," debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. The two rock acts are now working on a joint EP together.
