Yung Miami's 'Ride for You' hints at Diddy romance

Yung Miami's recent album, Watch Dis!, is drawing significant attention for lyrics that appear to reference her past relationship with Sean 'Diddy' Combs. The track "Ride for You," a collaboration with Summer Walker, is particularly noted for its apparent allusions to Combs. Their romantic involvement reportedly began in earnest in 2021, with confirmation following in 2022. The relationship was widely understood to be open, and Miami indicated in 2023 that they had parted ways but maintained their friendship.

During a 2022 episode of her podcast, "Caresha Please," Miami and Combs discussed their "great times" together. Combs later described Miami as "very important and special" to him, refuting claims that she was a "side chick." In September of last year, Miami submitted a character letter in advance of Combs' sentencing on prostitution-related charges. She stated that while she could not defend past actions, she witnessed a "loving, genuine, supportive" person during their three years in a public relationship.

Combs received a 50-month sentence and is scheduled for release in February 2028. Miami has seemingly confirmed "Ride for You" is about Combs in a recent interview, reflecting on how he "did nothing but build me up" and placed her on a "different pedestal."

The song includes specific references, such as a line about someone whose name was 'Love' and a mention of making love in St. Barts, a location where they celebrated New Year's Eve. Watch Dis! also features other artists like Travis Scott and Quavo.
