Rapper Young Thug has revealed plans to release an R&B album this year, drawing inspiration from the iconic Mary J. Blige. The artist, known for his melodic rap style, confirmed the news, stating the project will lean heavily into 'sexual' themes.
While the album will predominantly feature upbeat and sensual tracks, Thug mentioned including "two or three heartbreak songs." He attributed this shift towards a more melodic and less rap-focused sound to being "super in love" with his fiancée, R&B singer Mariah the Scientist.
This forthcoming R&B album will be Young Thug's first solo offering since his 2021 album "UY SCUTI." The artist also teased a potential future collaboration with Drake, possibly titled "What a Time to Be a Slime."
