Young Hollywood Stars Shine at Disney+ Event

Variety's Power of Young Hollywood event, presented by Disney+, is scheduled for August 5 in Los Angeles. This year's celebration will feature presenters like Madison Beer, who will honor Tate McRae with the Triple Threat Award, and Lindsey Buckingham, presenting Sombr with the Songwriter of the Year award. Kiernan Shipka will present Tyriq Withers with the New Leading Man Award, while Tiffani Thiessen will present Malachi Barton with the Rising Star Award. The evening will be cohosted by the father-son duo Mario Lopez and Dominic Lopez. Mario Lopez is a familiar face in entertainment, hosting 'Access Hollywood' and several radio programs. His son, Dominic, is an emerging actor with roles in 'Matlock' and 'The Lincoln Lawyer,' and they will soon star together in the upcoming film 'Christmas at Starlight.'

The event will also showcase a live performance by Amazon Music's Breakthrough artist, Sienna Spiro. This marks the first time Variety's Power of Young Hollywood will include a live musical performance. Several sponsors are supporting the event, including Neutrogena, Cash App, HYBE, and Eternal Water, underscoring the industry's engagement with emerging talent. The celebration aims to recognize and spotlight the contributions of young individuals making significant strides in film, television, and music.
