Yatin Karyekar: A Love Story That Ended in Divorce

Yatin Karyekar, a prominent figure in Indian television and film, is recognized for his impactful roles, including his portrayal of an elderly character in the 1994 serial 'Shanti.' His personal life, however, saw a significant challenge with his marriage to Iravati Harshe, his on-screen daughter.

Yatin and Iravati, who had lived together for three years prior, married in 1996. This union followed a shared experience of pursuing a play and an attraction that developed between them. Despite their initial connection, their marriage concluded in divorce in 2001, after five years.

Karyekar has shared that Iravati "drifted away" from the marriage, citing his long and frequent shooting schedules as a contributing factor. The divorce deeply affected him, leading to a period of alcohol addiction, which he ultimately overcame after their separation.

Since their divorce, Yatin Karyekar and Iravati Harshe have reportedly not been in contact.
