Yasiin Bey, who was previously known as Mos Def, has released a new music video for the song "Priority." This track is featured on his well-regarded 2009 album, "The Ecstatic."
The "Priority" music video was directed by Cognito and utilizes extensive archival footage. Over 70 hours of mini-DV tapes captured by Cognito during the album's recording, press appearances, and world tour were culled to create the clip. This nostalgic visual offers a glimpse into Bey's past career as Mos Def.
The release of the "Priority" video accompanies the deluxe physical edition reissue of "The Ecstatic." This reissue includes a 180-gram black 2LP vinyl set with a special seven-inch single containing unreleased tracks. A hardcover book filled with photos from Cognito is also part of the deluxe package, with CD and cassette versions also available.
