Yash's 'Toxic' explodes: Advance bookings top ₹32.7 crore!

Yash is poised to captivate audiences once again with 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups', releasing worldwide on August 26, 2026. This project marks his significant return to cinema, nearly four years after the phenomenal success of 'KGF: Chapter 2'. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is a gangster drama set in post-independence Goa.

The narrative follows a gangster navigating loyalty, morality, and redemption amidst violence and envy. With a runtime of 3 hours and 12 minutes, 'Toxic' has received an 'A' certificate from the censor board, with minor audio adjustments required for the Kannada version. Advance ticket sales have been exceptionally strong, with over 634,433 tickets sold and ₹32.7 crore grossed before release. Yash is also producing the film under Monster Mind Creations.

'Toxic' boasts an ensemble cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Rukmini Vasanth, with shooting locations spanning across India. Despite some online discussions regarding its female characters, Yash has emphasized the film's progressive narrative and Geetu Mohandas' directorial vision. The film is set for a multi-language release, including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and English, across an estimated 12,000 screens globally.
