A dedicated "X-Files" superfan, Molly Hardl, has embarked on an extraordinary marathon of all 218 episodes from a clandestine desert bunker near Joshua Tree, California. This immersive experience is being hosted by Pluto TV to celebrate the streaming availability of all 11 seasons of the iconic science fiction series. Actor Robbie Amell, who joined the show for its revival, was present to inaugurate the event, dubbed "The Fan Is Out There."
Amell recounted a humorous anecdote involving David Duchovny on set, where Duchovny kept all the business cards Amell's character used, as the character was named after his son. Amell praised the welcoming nature of stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, and the calm leadership of creator Chris Carter. The exclusive bunker party featured a specially curated menu, unique cocktails, telescope-assisted stargazing, and live theremin performances of the show's theme song.
The original "X-Files" series aired for nine seasons from 1993 to 2002, followed by a two-season revival from 2016 to 2018. The franchise also includes two films and a spin-off. Future installments are planned, with Ryan Coogler developing a new Hulu reboot starring Danielle Deadwyler and Himesh Patel, receiving endorsements from Carter and reportedly Gillian Anderson. Amell expressed enthusiasm for the new project, stating he would readily join if called upon.
