Gillian Anderson, an iconic star of the original X-Files, has lent her enthusiastic endorsement to the planned reboot helmed by writer and director Ryan Coogler. Anderson lauded Coogler's script, describing it as "brilliant" and impressive in its ability to capture the essence of the beloved series while introducing fresh elements.

The upcoming reboot will feature Himesh Patel and Danielle Deadwyler as new FBI agents. These accomplished professionals will form an unexpected connection while assigned to a dormant division dedicated to investigating unexplained phenomena. The pilot episode for this new iteration has already been filmed.

Filming of the pilot took place in Vancouver, a deliberate choice that mirrors the original X-Files' production location during its initial seasons in the 1990s. Ryan Coogler had previously confirmed discussions with Anderson about her potential involvement, expressing hope for her participation.
