The upcoming World War II drama "Crux" has unveiled its first footage at the European Film Market, with sales outfit Global Constellation reporting significant pre-sales.
Directed by Ulrike Toni Vahl in her feature debut, the film is set in a German village during the waning days of World War II. It examines the profound moral collapse and the immense cost of survival as humanity frays under the pressures of conflict.
"Crux" stars Jella Haase, Frida-Lovisa Hamann, and Clemens Schick. The production is backed by various German and international film funding bodies, including BKM, FFA, and Eurimages.
International distribution deals are already in place, with UFO Distribution handling France and Distri7 acquiring Benelux rights. Vuelta Germany previously secured distribution for German-speaking territories, indicating strong initial market interest.
