Wreck-It Ralph: Edgy jokes almost made Disney history

Animator Eric Goldberg and voice actor Alan Tudyk revealed that Wreck-It Ralph was nearly much edgier. At a D23 event, they shared cut jokes that were too risqué for Disney audiences. One such joke involved King Candy making a racially charged comment after a chaotic race scene, which was tested in a single screening in Arizona but met with silence.

Goldberg also recalled a scene where King Candy described passing through someone's colon multiple times, a reference that was ultimately omitted. These revelations come as Tudyk and Goldberg are honored as Disney Legends in 2026. The ceremony also recognizes other notable figures like Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson, and the Jonas Brothers for their significant contributions to the company.
