Summary
- Doctor with dwarfism and 72% disability reached KBC hot seat.
- Faced admission refusal but won court battle for medical studies.
- Father refused circus offer, prioritizing education over money.

Ganesh Baraiah, a doctor from Gujarat standing at 3 feet 4 inches, recently graced the hot seat on Kaun Banega Crorepati. Diagnosed with dwarfism and a 72% locomotor disability, Baraiah has earned the title 'World's Smallest Doctor' for his remarkable achievements.
His path to becoming a doctor was fraught with challenges. After excelling academically with an 87% score in Class 12 and an All India NEET rank of 233, he was initially denied admission to an MBBS program due to his disabilities. Supported by his school principal, Dalpat Katariya, Baraiah legally challenged the decision and won his case under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
Baraiah, who now works in the pediatrics department in Bhavnagar, shared a poignant childhood memory. He recalled a circus group offering his father Rs 5 lakh to take him along, an offer his father refused, emphasizing the value of education over financial gain. This deeply emotional moment, where his father chose studies, brought tears to Baraiah's eyes.
During his appearance on the show, Baraiah was unable to correctly answer a question about monuments north of Gujarat, leading to a decrease in his prize money to Rs 25,000.
