Summary

- The event mirrors the Puppy Bowl, produced by the same team.
- It partners with 12 shelters to promote animal adoption nationwide.

LG Channels is set to premiere "World Pup," a unique four-part series that brings together the excitement of global soccer with the heartwarming mission of animal adoption awareness. Produced by All3Media America's Bright Spot Content, the same team behind the popular Puppy Bowl, this event will feature 48 rescue puppies competing in a bracket-style soccer tournament.
The "World Pup" tournament will see puppies representing eight nations, mirroring the global appeal of major soccer events. Although all the participating puppies are from the United States, their representation of different countries adds a fun, international flair. "Dog influencers" Chili and Lumi will provide commentary, and "AirCorg" will deliver the final prediction.
This initiative is a collaboration between LG Channels and 12 shelters and rescue organizations across the country. The partnership aims to spotlight rescue animals in need of homes. Matthew Durgin of LG Channels highlighted the event's blend of entertainment and positive impact, aligning with LG's "Life's Good" philosophy and its commitment to celebrating events that unite people and create meaningful programming.
