Three-time Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson is slated to star in the upcoming suspense drama, Summer of Roses. The film, directed by Rick Alverson, will commence shooting in Sicily next month. Harrelson will portray Thomas, a wealthy American expatriate experiencing a personal crisis.
Joining Harrelson in the cast are Caleb Landry Jones, Hannah Gross, and Kaya Wilkins. The production is backed by a team of producers from Small Problems, Low Spark Films, and Dugong Films. Low Spark Films is handling the financing for the project.
This role follows Harrelson's recent work in Apple TV's comedy Brothers, where he stars alongside Matthew McConaughey. He also has Quentin Dupieux's Full Phil and a Netflix crime film with Sam Rockwell upcoming.
