Indie band The Wonder Stuff is marking their 40th anniversary with a series of performances planned for later this year. The group, which first rehearsed as a lineup on March 19, 1986, expressed deep gratitude to their devoted fanbase for four decades of support. Singer Miles Hunt shared his wonder at the band's longevity, looking forward to playing beloved hits.
Formed in Stourbridge, West Midlands, in the 1980s, The Wonder Stuff achieved significant chart success. Their hits include "Unbearable," "A Wish Away," and a number-one single, "Dizzy," with Vic Reeves. The band initially disbanded in 1994 but reformed in 2000.
The upcoming tour will feature dates at prominent venues such as London's O2 Academy Brixton and Glasgow's Barrowlands. The band will be supported by Manchester indie group Inspiral Carpets. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale at 10:00 GMT on March 27th via the band's official website.
