Rumors suggest Disney+ is scaling back live-action MCU series to prevent oversaturation and enhance anticipation for theatrical releases, with "Wonder Man" reportedly making no forward progress on a writers' room.

Cretton has expressed openness to directing a "Wonder Man" feature film under different circumstances. However, co-creator Andrew Guest confirmed that the character Simon Williams has been shelved for the foreseeable future, refuting speculation of a movie or integration into "Avengers: Doomsday." Another adult-skewing MCU series, "VisionQuest," is slated for release on Disney+ on October 14, 2026.
