Woman Fakes Pregnancy, Doll Birth; Pulls Out of Documentary

Kira Cousins, a 23-year-old from Airdrie, Scotland, has decided to withdraw from a documentary that was set to explore her controversial actions. She had reportedly deceived her boyfriend and family, including holding a gender reveal party, by pretending to be pregnant and then giving birth to a child.

Following the claimed birth, Ms Cousins informed the baby's father that the infant had died, when no baby was ever born. It was later revealed that her mother discovered a lifelike doll in her bedroom, exposing the elaborate deception. The doll was understood to be a significant expense.

Ms Cousins announced her decision to step back from the documentary via Instagram, stating she does not feel it is the right time to share her story. She acknowledged causing confusion and upset, offering private apologies to those affected and has since apologized online. She emphasized prioritizing the mental health of herself and others involved, and seeks to focus on personal healing and improvement.
