Most New Hires Now at CDPR for Witcher 4

CD Projekt Red is strategically prioritizing its development resources, with the majority of recent hires now working on The Witcher 4. This influx of talent is expected to improve the game's quality and scale, building upon existing foundations.
Concurrently, the studio's new intellectual property, codenamed Hadar, is advancing dynamically. Development teams have established key distinguishing features and foundational pillars for this original universe, with initial prototypes and mechanics being tested in Unreal Engine.
The studio experienced substantial growth, onboarding over 220 developers in the past year, bringing its total to more than 900 by the end of February 2026. This expansion supports ongoing projects like The Witcher 4 and the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, which currently has 149 developers assigned.
CDPR has also announced plans for a new trilogy of Witcher games within a six-year timeframe. Additionally, a remake of The Witcher 1 is in development with Fool's Theory, alongside a potential third expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt this year.
