- Show lets friends make romantic decisions for singles.
- Format originated from Singaporean media platform's pitch.

Fremantle has entered into an exclusive agreement with Singapore broadcaster Mediacorp to license the dating show "Wingman." This innovative program features singles who delegate their romantic decisions to their trusted friends, offering a novel approach to dating content. The format, co-owned by Mediacorp and Beach House Pictures (BHP), will be managed by Fremantle for sales, licensing, and production in most international markets.
Mediacorp retains control within Singapore and select Asian regions. The show's inception traces back to a 2023 pitch event hosted by Mediacorp, which subsequently developed the concept with BHP and commissioned its first season. This initial season is currently available on Mediacorp's mewatch platform and YouTube.
BHP, a Fremantle company, co-owns the format with Mediacorp, which holds the majority stake. Fremantle's global formats division will now promote "Wingman" worldwide, seeking opportunities for licensed remakes in various territories. This partnership aligns with Mediacorp's strategy to cultivate original Singaporean intellectual property for international markets and collaborate with local producers on globally appealing formats.
