Willa Fitzgerald and Ione Skye are set to star alongside Brie Larson in the Sony Pictures thriller "Skeletons." JT Mollner is directing the film, which also includes Kyle Gallner in its cast. The movie reimagines creature horror from the perspective of a young boy.
He begins to realize his parents harbor a dark secret concerning his mother's identity. Brian Duffield wrote the initial screenplay, adapting a short story by Phillip Fracassi, with revisions by Mollner.
Sony Pictures secured worldwide distribution rights for the film during EFM. Production is a collaborative effort between FilmNation Entertainment's Infrared, J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions, and Assemble Media.
Drew Simon, J.J. Abrams, and Jon Cohen are producing, with Jack Heller. Caitlin de Lisser-Ellen, Duffield, Roy Lee, and Steven Schneider are executive producing, alongside Larson and Fracassi. Infrared is handling the financing for the project.
