Chu debuted a brand-new clip from the film, featuring a poignant reunion between Elphaba and Glinda. In the emotional scene, Glinda is seen dressed in a sparkling white gown on her wedding day, as Elphaba, who is being hunted by the Wizard's flying monkeys, visits her in secret.
The director also revealed that the characters of the Tin Man and Scarecrow will not rely on digital effects in "Wicked: For Good." Chu promised that when audiences see these iconic characters, they will be amazed by the extraordinary practical makeup and hair work that has been done, with no room for error.
The first "Wicked" film, released in late 2024, became a pop culture phenomenon and box office smash, earning over $750 million globally and receiving critical acclaim, including 10 Oscar nominations and two wins.
