Tabu Explains Why SRK-Tabu Film Remains Unfulfilled Dream for Fans
4 Nov
Summary
- SRK and Tabu have never starred in a full-length Bollywood film together
- Fans have long hoped to see the duo on screen due to SRK's chemistry with co-stars
- Tabu says she can only accept or reject roles offered to her, not dictate who SRK works with

As of November 4th, 2025, Bollywood fans are still eagerly awaiting a full-fledged collaboration between superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Tabu. The two have briefly appeared together in the past, such as in a song sequence in the 2007 film Om Shanti Om and a cameo by Tabu in the 2004 movie Main Hoon Na, but a proper joint project has remained elusive.
In a recent interview, Tabu, who celebrated her 54th birthday just two days after SRK's 60th, shed light on why the much-desired SRK-Tabu film has not yet materialized. She explained that as an actor, she can only accept or reject roles offered to her, and does not have the power to dictate who she co-stars with, including Shah Rukh Khan. Tabu acknowledged that many people want to see the two Bollywood icons together on screen, but reiterated that she can only say yes or no to what is presented to her.
While the long-awaited SRK-Tabu collaboration has not yet come to fruition, there remains hope for the future. Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy filming an upcoming project titled King, which features his daughter Suhana Khan, as well as Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone. Tabu, on the other hand, is set to next appear in the horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla alongside Akshay Kumar.
