Wet Hot Stars Form Rock Band, Celebrate 25 Years

Ken Marino and David Wain, who first met 39 years ago at New York University, have recently embarked on a new creative endeavor: forming a classic covers band named Middle Aged Dad Jam Band (MADJB). This venture follows decades of collaboration on projects like "Wet Hot American Summer." The band, with Marino on lead vocals and Wain on drums, also includes long-time friend Craig Wedren.

MADJB began with informal garage jam sessions during the pandemic and has since grown into a popular touring act. Their performances often feature covers of songs from their youth and celebrate their past work, including "Wet Hot American Summer."

This year marks the 25th anniversary of "Wet Hot American Summer," a milestone the band has been celebrating on tour. These anniversary shows have included music from the film, exclusive footage, and special guests, drawing significant attention.

The band's recent album, released in June, features notable guest artists such as Kristen Bell and "Weird Al" Yankovic. The group has also involved their children in performances, with their kids forming their own band, "Kiddle Age Dad Jam Band."
