Fans of "Weird Al" Yankovic have a unique opportunity to experience his 1989 cult comedy classic, UHF, in a theatrical setting. The screening is scheduled for October 31st at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. This special event will mark the film's 27th anniversary of its 10th anniversary release.
A highlight of the evening will be the live performance of the film's original score by a full orchestra, conducted by its composer, John Du Prez. This marks the first time the score will be performed live in its entirety. Following the movie, attendees can look forward to a question-and-answer session with "Weird Al" Yankovic and undisclosed special guests.
Ticket pre-sales begin on June 17th at 10:00 a.m. PDT for Live Nation members, with general sales starting on June 18th at 10:00 a.m. PDT via Ticketmaster. The film, co-written by Yankovic and Jay Levey, tells the story of George Newman, who becomes the manager of a struggling UHF television station after his uncle wins it in a poker game.
"Weird Al" Yankovic is currently on his "Bigger & Weirder Tour," which spans from summer to fall. Several dates for the tour are listed, with performances across the United States and Canada throughout June, July, August, September, and October of 2026.
