Wave Signs Comedy Duo Behind 'My Momma Told Me'

Wave, a digital entertainment company, has finalized a deal with comedians Langston Kerman and David Gborie to manage ad sales and distribution for their comedy podcast, 'My Momma Told Me.' This acquisition expands Wave's comedy offerings, which previously included 'So True' hosted by Caleb Hearon. Hearon will also serve as an executive producer for 'My Momma Told Me,' further solidifying his relationship with Wave.

The podcast features Kerman and Gborie delving into Black conspiracy theories, often joined by guest comedians and personalities to discuss a range of topics from folklore to family anecdotes. Notable past guests include Will Ferrell and Bob the Drag Queen. Wave's Executive Producer, Hannah Kyle Crichton, expressed excitement about the partnership and the show's engaged audience. Kerman and Gborie shared their enthusiasm for joining forces with Hearon and Wave, humorously comparing their collaboration to unlikely animal friendships.

Langston Kerman, an L.A.-based comedian and writer, recently had his special 'Bad Poetry' released on Netflix. He also co-created and starred in Peacock's 'Bust Down' and was a head writer for HBO's 'Pause With Sam Jay.' David Gborie, a comedian and writer from Denver, Colorado, has made appearances on NBC's 'A.P. Bio' and TBS's 'Chad,' and provides a voice for Comedy Central. New episodes of 'My Momma Told Me' are released weekly on Tuesdays across major platforms.
