In a significant move for the British film industry, Warp Films has announced the appointment of Amy O'Hara as their new Development Executive. O'Hara, who is set to join the Sheffield-based company in January 2026, is leaving her current role as Development and Production Executive at Film4.
During her time at Film4, O'Hara has worked on a diverse slate of projects, including Love Lies Bleeding by Rose Glass, We Live in Time by John Crowley, and debuts such as Karan Kandhari's Sister Midnight. Prior to that, she served as Talent Executive for BFI Network at Film Hub North, collaborating with emerging writers, directors, and producers across the UK's northern regions.
In her new position at Warp Films, O'Hara will work closely with the company's founder and CEO, Mark Herbert, to develop new film projects and "nurture both established and emerging talent." She will also be responsible for developing a select portfolio of filmmaker-led TV series with Herbert and Chief Creative Officer Emily Feller.
Warp Films has a long-standing reputation for producing an eclectic range of acclaimed British films and TV shows, including Adolescence, This Is England, Submarine, Four Lions, '71, and Dead Man's Shoes. "Warp Films are a huge part of the reason I wanted to work in the film industry," O'Hara said in a statement, "and I can't wait to build on and elevate their exceptional legacy in the feature film space."
