Sykes Reveals Maher Confrontation After Golden Globes Joke

Comedian Wanda Sykes recently shared details of a private confrontation with Bill Maher after she made a joke about him at the Golden Globe Awards in January. While presenting an award, Sykes quipped that she wanted "a little less" from Maher, referencing his public persona.

According to Sykes, Maher approached her afterward, questioning the joke's intent. She explained that his reaction only reinforced her comedic observation. The exchange escalated when Maher dismissed her joke as "stupid," prompting Sykes to retort that she had received positive feedback.

Following this incident, Sykes stated that she refused Maher's invitation to appear on his podcast, "Club Random." Maher, who was nominated in the same category Sykes presented, ultimately did not win the award. Sykes also made light of other nominees, including Ricky Gervais.
