Vogue World: Beyond Met Gala, A Global Fashion Spectacle

Vogue World has emerged as a significant annual global event, distinct from the Met Gala, blending fashion with community engagement. This livestreamed spectacle celebrates local culture and charitable causes, with all proceeds from tickets and exclusive capsule collections directly benefiting cultural and performing arts organizations in the cities that host the event.

The format deviates from traditional fashion shows, incorporating performances by various celebrities and surprise runway appearances. Notable figures such as Sabrina Carpenter, Sombr, Conan Gray, and María Zardoya have participated in past iterations, adding a pop culture dimension to the fashion showcases.

The inaugural Vogue World event took place in 2022 in New York, commemorating Fashion Week. Subsequent editions were hosted in London in 2023 and Paris in 2024, aligning with the Olympic Games. The event then returned to the United States for Vogue World: Hollywood in 2025, focusing on iconic movie character looks.

This year's edition, Vogue World: Milano, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, in Milan, Italy. While specific celebrity attendees have not yet been confirmed, past participants include Gracie Abrams, Bad Bunny, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Gabbriette. The publication has also announced San Francisco as the host city for the 2027 event, with Anna Wintour citing the city's diverse communities, artistic spirit, and innovative nature as key factors.
