The film 'Vishwanath and Sons', featuring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, has surpassed a significant box office milestone, accumulating a worldwide gross collection of Rs 128.60 Cr. This achievement was noted on Day 5 of its theatrical run. Despite a 18.6% decrease in daily earnings compared to the previous day's Rs 7.80 Cr, the movie continues to perform steadily.
The Tamil version of 'Vishwanath and Sons' recorded an overall occupancy of 25.46% on its fifth day, with night shows performing best at 31%. The Telugu version saw higher engagement, with an overall occupancy of 33.98% and night shows reaching 46.50%. Both versions contributed to the film's impressive domestic gross of Rs 83.60 Cr and an additional Rs 45.00 Cr from overseas markets.
In terms of state-wise collections on Day 5, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed Rs 3.50 Cr, followed by Tamil Nadu with Rs 2.35 Cr. Karnataka added Rs 78 lakhs, Kerala Rs 55 lakhs, and the rest of India Rs 15 lakhs, bringing the total state-wise gross for the day to Rs 7.33 Cr. In comparison, Thalapathy Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' has garnered Rs 323.01 Cr worldwide.
