Mocking Ex-Classmate: Scripted Joke or Real Shaming?

A video showing a woman mocking an ex-classmate for his alleged profession as a pizza delivery agent recently went viral, sparking widespread criticism. The woman, who filmed the encounter, laughed at the man on a scooter, highlighting his age and job. The man appeared embarrassed by the public humiliation.

Following intense backlash, the woman and the man, along with friends, released a clarification video. They asserted the original clip was a staged joke intended for entertainment among content creators. They claimed they were friends who had dined out and decided to record a humorous video.

This explanation, however, did not appease social media users. Many argued the clarification itself seemed scripted and noted the man's body language in the initial video did not suggest acting. Critics suggested the group was attempting damage control after the narrative turned unfavorable and the video attracted unwanted attention.
