An internet sensation has emerged from a perplexing 11-second video showing a man completely trapped within a tennis racket. The clip, originally shared on Instagram in September 2026 by creator Odigie Efe Alex, exploded in popularity after being reposted on X, attracting over 23 million views by November 2026.
Alex, a 35-year-old emcee from Benin City, Nigeria, filmed the stunt at his workplace, a local restaurant. The man in the racket was a contortionist entertainer. Although initially fooling onlookers and even restaurant staff into believing he was genuinely stuck, the performer eventually extricated himself, though Alex missed the exact moment of escape.
This type of contortionist act, fitting oneself into a tennis racket, is not unprecedented. Other performers, like one from Kenya and Norwegian contortionist Captain Frodo, have shared similar viral videos and performances, demonstrating the niche art form's appeal.
