Summary

- Film is the sixth installment in the Maddock Horror Universe.
- Release date may shift to avoid clash with another film.

Vineet Kumar Singh has been cast as the primary antagonist in the forthcoming horror-comedy film 'Shakti Shalini'. Singh, recently seen in 'Chhaava' and 'Jaat', has reportedly commenced filming for the project. This film represents the sixth installment in the popular Maddock Horror Universe, building on the success of previous releases such as 'Stree', 'Bhediya', and 'Munjya'.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, 'Shakti Shalini' reunites Vishal Jethwa and Aneet Padda, who previously worked together on 'Salaam Venky'. A teaser for the film was presented during the climax of 'Thamma', introducing Padda in her titular role. The film was originally scheduled for release on December 24.
However, rumors suggest 'Shakti Shalini' may adjust its release date to avoid a direct competition with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'King', which is also set for a December 24 premiere. December is anticipated to be a busy month at the box office, with several major Hollywood releases also slated.
Separately, Aneet Padda's sister, Reet Padda, recently faced controversy for labeling the film 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' as propaganda, subsequently deleting her social media accounts. Padda's earlier film, 'Saiyaara', achieved significant box office success, becoming Bollywood's highest-grossing romantic film.
