In the latest season of the college-set spinoff of The Boys, actor Christian Slater has taken on the role of Thomas Godolkin, the founder of Godolkin University. Slater, known for his more heroic roles, has embraced the opportunity to play a villainous character with power and influence.
Godolkin, initially introduced as a sweet scientist, is later revealed to have a twisted agenda. He believed in supe supremacy and set out to create god-tier supes through a program called Project Odessa. Godolkin founded Godolkin University as a way to observe and control these powerful individuals, with a specific focus on Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair).
Believed to be dead for decades, Godolkin's body had actually survived a catastrophe in the Vought lab, thanks to the Compound V he had injected himself with. Since the 1960s, his burnt, incapacitated body was kept in a hyperbaric chamber while he used his powers to control an innocent person named Doug (Hamish Linklater), who posed as the new dean at God U.
Godolkin's manipulative nature comes to a head as he successfully convinces Marie to revive his body with her powers. Once restored, he sets out to reduce God U's population by 75%, leaving only the strongest supes standing.
In the explosive finale, Marie, with the help of her friends, confronts Godolkin. Despite his attempts to control her, Marie ultimately uses her blood manipulation powers to cause Godolkin's head to explode, delivering the final blow to the villainous scientist.
