Comedian Vikkals Vikram Leaps to Lead Film Role

Vikkals Vikram, who gained prominence through stand-up comedy and appearances on Bigg Boss Tamil, is now stepping into the leading role in a feature film. The comedian expressed that the character in the upcoming rom-com, 'Lightweight, Baby,' felt perfectly suited to him.

Vikram plays an aspiring stand-up comedian who struggles with his weight, a persona he found highly relatable. He stated that the role seemed meticulously crafted for his unique experiences and comedic background.

Having started his journey in theatre and YouTube acting before venturing into stand-up, Vikram noted that acting is his foundational skill. He assured that he did not require separate acting workshops for the film, as his roots are firmly planted in performance.

While headlining a film carries significant responsibility, Vikram credits director KC Guru for providing clear vision and creative direction. He focused on his acting performance, allowing the director to guide the overall artistic vision.

Vikram plans to continue his stand-up comedy career, with a new special set to launch in September 2026. He intends to balance stand-up performances, which he considers a weekend engagement, with his shooting schedules.
