Filmmaker Vikas Bahl is preparing to direct a new musical romance drama, with shooting planned for the second half of 2026. The film, yet to be titled, will feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Alizeh Agnihotri in lead roles. Reliance Entertainment is producing the project.
The movie draws inspiration from the 1990s UK Punjabi underground music movement, a time when music became central to identity for the post-immigrant generation. It blended Punjabi folk with Western influences, creating a unique cross-cultural sound.
Set against this backdrop, the narrative will follow a love story intertwined with ambition and artistic aspirations. Chaturvedi is expected to portray a drummer, while Agnihotri will play a singer, tracing their personal and creative journeys.
This film marks Chaturvedi's second collaboration with Bahl, following an upcoming romantic comedy. Agnihotri’s role in this musical will be her second feature film appearance. Bahl has finalized the script and is moving towards pre-production.
