Thalapathy Vijay's fans have a reason to rejoice this Pongal as his 2016 hit film 'Theri' is set for a grand re-release on January 15. This marks the film's 10th anniversary and provides a much-needed festival release for the actor's massive fanbase.
The re-release comes as a significant development, particularly due to the uncertainty surrounding Vijay's final film, 'Jana Nayagan.' The delay has created pressure for at least one Vijay film to be available during the Pongal festival, a tradition his fans have come to expect annually.
Directed by Atlee, 'Theri' will now be screened again, offering a festive cinematic experience. Meanwhile, the makers of 'Jana Nayagan' have reportedly approached the Supreme Court regarding its delays, highlighting the contrasting situations of Vijay's filmography.
