More than 1,000 garment units are working to meet this demand, with thousands of workers engaged in production. One manufacturing unit president reported dispatching 20,000 T-shirts and receiving about 1,000 online orders daily.
Ministers and functionaries of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam are among the bulk buyers, ordering T-shirts for distribution. Industry sources estimate that approximately five lakh 'Jana Nayagan' T-shirts will be produced within the next 10 days, with retail prices expected between ₹200 and ₹500.
'Jana Nayagan', meaning 'People's Leader', is significant as it's Vijay's last film before dedicating himself to politics full-time. The plot reportedly mirrors his political rise.
