Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' Faces Release Chaos

Vijay's political action thriller, 'Jana Nayagan,' directed by H Vinoth, has encountered numerous obstacles preventing its theatrical release. Originally slated for a January debut, the film is still awaiting essential certification clearance, leaving fans uncertain about its release date. The production house KVN Productions has confirmed they are refunding distributors, deeming it unfair to prolong their wait.

The primary cause for the delay appears to be certification-related issues. The film's initial January 9 release was canceled after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) regional panel recommended a UA 16+ certificate, which later became entangled in legal proceedings. Months later, there is still no official update on when the certification process will conclude.

This protracted delay has caused financial strain for distributors and theater owners, with reports of crores collected through advance bookings needing to be returned. Adding to the woes, the film was leaked online in HD quality. 'Jana Nayagan' features Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film is noted as Vijay's last before he shifts his focus to politics.
