Vijay Sethupathi Joins Simbu & Vetri Maaran's 'Arasan'

Actor Vijay Sethupathi is set to portray a significant character in director Vetri Maaran's next film, 'Arasan,' featuring Silambarasan TR. This new venture is officially part of the expansive 'Vada Chennai' film universe, adding another layer of excitement for fans. The confirmation of Sethupathi's involvement was made by producer Kalaipuli S Thanu through a special poster release, marking his entry into this much-discussed project.

This collaboration brings together talent that has previously shared screen space. Vetri Maaran and Vijay Sethupathi previously worked together on the 'Viduthalai' films, while Silambarasan TR and Sethupathi co-starred in Mani Ratnam's 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.' The film's shooting commenced a few weeks ago and is progressing rapidly.

'Arasan' is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under V Creations, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. While Vetri Maaran had previously clarified that 'Arasan' is within the 'Vada Chennai' universe but not a direct sequel, speculation about other cast members like Andrea Jeremiah, Nelson Dilipkumar, and Manikandan continues, pending official announcements.
