Colin, who plays the role of Barbara, described her onscreen "sons" Tyler Hynes, 39, Paul Campbell, 46, and Andrew Walker, 46, as "such good men" who are always "playing" and "wrestling" with the child actor on set.
The actress has found her real-life experience as a mother of two adult sons to be invaluable in preparing for the role. "Being a mother of full-grown sons is a complete background for this," she said, noting that her own son, Joe, is a big fan of the movies.
The "Three Wisest Men" trilogy, which premiered in 2022, has become Hallmark's most-watched film of the year, sparking two follow-up installments. Colin expressed her surprise and delight at the audience's enthusiastic response, saying, "They've never had three installments of a film based on because the audience liked it. That's crazy, and that we were able to do it."
