Veteran Actor Dharmendra Discharged from Hospital, Recovers at Home

On November 9, 2025, veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, aged 89, was discharged from Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital after being admitted for breathlessness on October 31. The actor will now recover at home, as confirmed by a doctor from the hospital, who also urged the public and media to respect the family's privacy.

Dharmendra's family had earlier released an official statement, requesting the media and public to refrain from speculation and to respect the family's privacy during this time. Dharmendra's daughter, Esha Deol, had also addressed the matter on social media, stating that her father is "stable and recovering." Dharmendra's wife, Hema Malini, also publicly condemned the spread of misinformation, highlighting the distress such reports have caused.

Several prominent figures, including Dharmendra's family members and other Bollywood celebrities, had visited the actor during his hospital stay. Dharmendra, known for his performances in films like 'Sholay,' 'Dharam Veer,' and 'Chupke Chupke,' is set to appear in the upcoming film 'Ikkis,' scheduled for release on December 25, 2025.
