Nordic Noir "Veronika" Gets Seasons 2 & 3 Renewal

The Nordic noir crime thriller Veronika has been renewed for its second and third seasons, with Viaplay Content Distribution boarding the production. The show, which features Alexandra Rapaport as a police officer with an extraordinary ability, will be offered as a complete boxset across three seasons. This expanded distribution deal follows the significant international success of Veronika's first season, which was licensed in 55 markets.

Viaplay's commitment to the new seasons signals confidence in the series' global appeal. SkyShowtime, the original broadcaster, has ordered a third season, a first for the platform. Production company Bigster, creators Katja Juras and Anna Ströman, and director Mikael Håfström are continuing their collaboration to deliver more of the compelling Scandinavian drama that has resonated with viewers worldwide.
