Venice Film Fest Adds Gaza Doc "Naza"

The Venice Film Festival has made a surprise addition to its competition program with the documentary "Naza." This film, from the acclaimed directors of "No Other Land," Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, is set to screen for the first time.
"Naza" was filmed on rooftops in Tel Aviv, Israel. Its synopsis states the documentary will meticulously show the methods behind what it describes as Israel's calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
The film is a production by The Guardian and James Wilson of JW Films. Jonathan Glazer, who worked with Wilson on the Oscar-winning "The Zone of Interest," serves as executive producer.
Directors Abraham and Szor previously co-directed "No Other Land," which won an Oscar for best documentary feature. That film documented the destruction of Masafer Yatta, a Palestinian community located in the West Bank.
"Naza" is scheduled to be shown at the Venice Film Festival on September 10 at 5:15 p.m. The screening will take place in the Sala Grande at the Palazzo del Cinema, with the directors and Guardian journalists in attendance.
