Vargas Remembers Late Ex-Husband Bodel's Legacy

Heather Vargas has shared a heartfelt statement following the death of her ex-husband, John Bodel, who succumbed to pancreatic cancer. Bodel passed away on Wednesday after a hospitalization in Seattle, Washington.

Vargas extended her deep gratitude to Bodel's current wife, Michelle Fox, for her unwavering presence and care throughout his battle with the disease. She acknowledged the significant history they shared, spanning over 20 years, and mentioned their regular, kind conversations, noting that such connections are never truly lost.

She recognized Bodel's extensive legacy, which includes his new family, children, mother, wife, and extended loved ones, as well as herself. Vargas described Bodel as an exceptionally talented man, skilled in flying various aircraft, playing the guitar, and managing his business affairs.

Bodel was formerly the CEO of Seattle-based American Seafoods and was reportedly worth $200 million. He also gained public recognition through his appearance on "Undercover Boss," where he demonstrated his philanthropic nature by regularly aiding families in need.

Vargas and Bodel married in 2000 and their divorce was finalized in July 2020, after reportedly separating in 2017. She concluded by stating that Bodel's spirit and legacy will continue to live on through the lives he profoundly touched.
