Varanasi: Rajamouli's Global Dubbing Revolution

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is meticulously planning the global launch of 'Varanasi,' ensuring the performances of its stars remain emotionally impactful across numerous languages. The film is slated for a dubbed release in approximately 50 languages and distribution in 120 countries worldwide. Rajamouli's core principle is to utilize authentic human voices for all dubbed versions, steering clear of artificial intelligence or synthetic alternatives.

This dedication stems from Rajamouli's belief that voice is a crucial element of performance, carrying the character's emotion and intent. He aims for audiences globally to connect with the actors' portrayals, not merely understand translated dialogues. To achieve this, his team will meticulously review the work of over 1500 artists before selecting the final voice actors for each language.

'Varanasi' is set to be only the second Indian film to achieve such a wide international release, following Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan.' The movie is scheduled to premiere on April 7, 2027, with its release planned in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, and many international languages including French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Japanese, and Korean.
