31 Mar
Summary
- Reality star filmed for rival show after suing cast member.
- He claims producers tricked him into signing a release.
- The agreement was allegedly for payment, not claim release.

Marciano Brunette, known from 'Vanderpump Villa,' has come forward with claims that he was filmed for the Hulu reality series 'Mormon Wives.' This comes months after he initiated a defamation lawsuit against cast member Demi Engemann and the show's producers in late 2025. Brunette stated that a friend, cast member Chase McWhorter, invited him to Utah and asked if he would permit filming at a rental property.
Brunette agreed to be filmed for an hour at a bar with McWhorter, asserting he had no direct communication with the show's producers beforehand and did not sign any paperwork. Following the filming session in January 2026, he was presented with a release form by a production employee. Brunette contends he was led to believe signing was solely for payment purposes and never intended to waive his claims in the pending lawsuit.
Furthermore, Brunette alleges he never received any payment for his participation. His lawsuit against Engemann stems from her later claim that their alleged hookup was non-consensual, a accusation Engemann has reportedly called "BS" and sought to have dismissed. The producers have also denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
