Vanderpump Rules Reboots with Fresh Faces, Leaving Fans Divided
15 Nov
Summary
- Vanderpump Rules renewed for season 12 with all-new cast
- Reboot comes after "Scandoval" drama fractured original cast
- Lisa Vanderpump only returning cast member

In a surprising move, Bravo has announced that Vanderpump Rules will be rebooted for season 12 with an all-new cast. The decision comes nearly two years after the explosive "Scandoval" affair between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss rocked the show's original friend group, leaving them "still stuck in their feelings and refusing to bend."
With the core cast unable to move past the drama, Bravo felt there was no path forward and opted to take the series in a fresh direction. The new ensemble, described as a "deep-rooted, dynamic group of friends, frenemies, and lovers that have been working for Lisa Vanderpump at SUR for years," will be tasked with shaking up the restaurant's Pumptini-fueled chaos.
Vanderpump, the show's only returning cast member, expressed excitement about the reboot, saying, "In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules." The new episodes are set to premiere on December 2.
While the original Vanderpump Rules stars, including Ariana Madix, Scheana Shay, and Lala Kent, are understandably "upset" about the reboot, many have expressed gratitude for their time on the show. Madix said she feels "at peace with closing this chapter," while Kent acknowledged the series "changed my whole life" and that she's "unbelievably grateful for every moment."
