Lisa Vanderpump has decided to revamp Vanderpump Rules, introducing a fresh ensemble of cast members drawn from her West Hollywood restaurant, SUR. Vanderpump explained that the original cast's dynamic had become irreparably fractured, making filming difficult.

She handpicked new cast members who are current SUR employees, ensuring an authentic representation of the restaurant's environment. Vanderpump highlighted that these new individuals already possess a history and a cohesive bond, which was crucial for the show's renewed direction. She believes this approach maintains the integrity of the series, avoiding the artificiality of assembling a new group solely for television.
