PVR INOX is set to enchant audiences with its 'Valentine's Special Showcase', featuring a re-release of 12 cherished romantic films. The selection thoughtfully includes cinematic gems from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam industries, catering to a wide spectrum of tastes.
The Hindi offerings boast iconic titles such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Veer-Zaara, Mohabbatein, Devdas, and Saiyaara, many starring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. These films have profoundly shaped the narrative of romance in Indian cinema and continue to resonate across generations.
Complementing the Hindi selections are celebrated regional films. Tamil cinema is represented by Minnale, Mounam Pesiyadhe, Kadhalar Dhinam, and Uyirullavarai Usha. The Telugu romantic drama Love Story and the Malayalam hit Premam round out this pan-Indian collection, each offering unique perspectives on love.
Niharika Bijli, Lead Strategist at PVR INOX Limited, highlighted the curation's intent: 'This Valentine's Day, we wanted to curate not just a line-up of films, but a spectrum of emotions.' The showcase aims to connect with both millennials seeking nostalgic first dates and Gen Z viewers experiencing these classics in theatres for the first time, celebrating the universal theme of love in all its forms.
